What is Outsite?

Outsite is a travel and accommodation company built for people who work remotely. Instead of a hotel or a standard short-term rental, you book a room in a home designed for working and living in the same place, usually with shared spaces, workspaces and other members staying at the same time.

Stays run from 3 nights to 3 months, which makes Outsite useful for a short work trip, a month in a new city or a longer slow-travel stretch. Outsite says it has hosted more than 21,000 stays, with an average saving of around $350 per booking for members.

Types of stay on Outsite

Signature locations are homes designed by Outsite for remote work, community and slow travel. They are the core of the brand and the closest thing to a consistent Outsite experience.

Curated is a selection of independent stays chosen by Outsite, so you can see more destinations without every property being an Outsite original.

Outsite Trips are curated one-month journeys for remote professionals who want to work and travel in a group with a set itinerary.

Who Outsite is for

Outsite is aimed at remote employees, freelancers, founders and creatives who want a ready-made routine and community in a new place. Many locations offer extras such as yoga, surf and fitness options, so you can keep your routine while changing the view.

It is less suited to travellers who want hotel-style privacy and service, or who only need a bed for a night or two.

Outsite membership

The referral offer on this page applies to your first stay and does not require a membership. Outsite also sells an optional membership, which is priced separately from the referral credit.

At the time of writing, membership is listed at £149 per year or a one-off £374 for lifetime access. Listed benefits include access to members only locations, one week free in new destinations, 50% off in flash sales, 40% off extended stays, credits earned with every stay, a monthly new member mixer, a jobs and sublets board and lifestyle perks.

Whether membership pays for itself depends on how often you travel, so work out your expected nights per year before you join. Prices and benefits can change, so check Outsite for the current terms.

Other Outsite products

Outsite also lists member deals, Outsite Cowork Cafes, team retreats, business memberships, gift cards, a mobile app and a refer a friend programme. Teams and companies can use the business options to book stays for remote staff.

Tips for getting the most from the referral offer

Create your account from the referral link before you search or book, because the credit is tied to how you sign up.

Check the credit appears in your booking summary before you pay. If it does not, stop and contact Outsite support rather than completing the booking.

Compare the final price with similar coliving stays, including cleaning and service fees, since $50 off matters more on a longer or cheaper stay.
